What a beautiful part of Abilene this home was in and we were excited about the opportunity to work in this neighborhood! We needed to add some curb appeal to the front of the house so we pulled the porch out to add a sitting area and the vault in the roof for more dimension.
On the interior we were able to obtain an open concept living and dining space for modern living. Updates throughout include custom cabinets, quartz countertops, designer tile selections, and chic lighting.

When we first walked into this home we saw all the potential it had. Going into the renovation we knew several walls needed to come down to open up the living space. In her January 2021 blog post, Niki called this one SO MUCH work. It was one of the worst kind of houses we see, hodge podged together for many, many years. Three different additions had to be torn down, and the demo was extensive.
In the end the house was transformed into something to be proud of, and we sold it to a young and growing family. It also had a cute front door that we saved: a gorgeous solid wood door with all the character.
