The house other buyers walk past
Older Abilene houses carry the marks of every decade they've lived through. A kitchen that shuts off the living room, a back room that was added on and never quite fit, a layout built for a family that lived differently. Those are the houses we look for.
Green Acres had been put together over many years, with three separate additions, and all three had to be torn down. At Brentwood Ranch, several walls needed to come out to open up the living space. We walk into houses like that and start looking for the one underneath.
What a visit and an offer look like
If you have a house you'd like to sell, we're happy to visit. Submit your information and we will be in touch. When it's a home we know we'll love working with, we often make a cash offer, and sellers who know us from Facebook know us for a quick close.
You'll be talking with Jon and Niki Grant, the husband and wife team behind JGN. Call (325) 261-3855 or write to nikigrant89@gmail.com if you'd rather start with a conversation. We buy houses in Abilene.
After the sale, a family moves in
Once the house is ours, the fun part starts. Walls come down, floors get replaced, appliances are updated, and we add accent walls and custom tile. The charm stays.
On Green Acres we saved the original solid wood front door, and the finished house went to a young and growing family. That's the road a house takes after you sell it to us.
